Paris, France – Ideal for lovers, art enthusiasts, and foodies, Paris is beautiful any time of year but particularly in the springtime. For first-time visitors, don’t miss the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. You should also take the time to enjoy a genuine espresso at an outdoor Parisian café.

Rome, Italy – The city of Rome is a great place to visit anytime of year. History and archaeology buffs will love the museums and historical sites while staunch Catholics will find Vatican City fascinating. If you love shopping, make sure you hit up one of the cities multiple ATMs and peruse the streets of Via Condotti, Via Borgognona and Via Frattina.

Madrid, Spain – Akin to New York City, Madrid is the European city that never sleeps. During the day, visitors can enjoy the rich culture and architecture the city offers. At night, enjoy fabulous food and dancing. Lively street life starts in March and peaks during mid-summer and Madrid’s restaurant and nightclub scenes are some of the best in Europe.

Prague, Czech Republic – For travelers looking for an amazing city less frequented by tourists, Prague is the place to go. Filled with mystique, gorgeous gothic architecture, and historical landmarks, Prague is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Visitors can take in the charming cobblestone streets, famed bridges, and spiraled buildings. Sites not to be missed include Lobkowicz Palace, Old Town Square, and St. George’s Basilica, one of the city’s architectural highlights.

Since I am still dreaming of my Florence trip, I thought I’d watch Under the Tuscan Sun… again. I just adore the setting and the adventures of Frances (Diane Lane’s character). The little details in the movie about the Tuscan lifestyle makes one look forward to visiting Florence and Tuscany!

Alright, most women are pretty much happy (or contented) with their life but if you had the chance to do things on a whim, what would you do? Buying a house in Tuscany is a very bold move for one who doesn’t speak the language. Not only that, Frances didn’t know anything else about the place, aside from that feeling of excitement she had when the tour bus drove past it.

Call me shallow but I enjoyed watching the scenes around the table. Food, friends and family are always a great mix when one wants to relax.

While piecing the Florence trip together and watching Under the Tuscan Sun (LOL), I came across Rick Steve’s collection of Italy Audio Tours. Go ahead and downloaded the Uffizi Gallery Tour mp3 and the map. Listening to it, looking at photos with the intention of making that trip takes us a step closer to realizing it!
