It can be very frustrating when your luggage doesn’t arrive with you. You have to fill in papers, follow up with the airline, call your insurance company. Hopefully after a few days, the airline has delivered your luggage safely at your place.

Passport cover or mini clutch wallet by claudiabags

Have presence of mind – do not pack your passport in your suitcase!

I may be laughing about it now but years (and years) ago, I packed my passport in the suitcase. Long story, and I don’t feel like reliving it. This post is to remind me (and you) to have your passport and other travel documents in your handbag.

It would also be useful to have a photocopy of your passport in your suitcase. This would help as identifying your suitcase just in case the tags get lost or worse — not the tags but the bags don’t take the same flight with you!

If you need visas, please make sure these are alright weeks before your scheduled trip. Again, this happened to me so many years ago when I was a spoiled brat and let others check my things for me. LOL Boy did I learn that lesson!
